The land has a powerful and beautiful story to tell. And by listening to the language of the land, the water and sky, I have attempted to transcend that story by way of my work. Be it here in Canada, or my birthplace of Iceland, my paintings interpret that through my aesthetic. With frequent sojourns, it has left an indelible impression and imprint on me to tell my story. 

Through my palette and brushwork, my paintings capture the weight and change, of this untethered land.

I have been moving somewhat away from the literal and more into implying and conveying ‘a sense of place’, allowing the viewer to appreciate the beauty of the untouched.
