Trev Murphy is a Canadian-based fine artist originally from Dublin,
Ireland, with over 25 years of experience in illustration, animation, and
fine art. Trained in Classical Animation, Trev built a successful career
in film and television, working with major studios like DreamWorks
and CBC. In recent years, his creative focus has shifted toward
oil painting, where he explores both portraiture and nature-inspired
themes. Drawing on a blend of cinematic and classical influences,
his work captures subtle emotion and atmosphere through carefully
observed light, color, and texture.

Now a member of Arts On Main, a collective gallery in Picton, Ontario,
Trev paints from his studio in Prince Edward County. Inspired by the
local landscape, his recent work includes richly detailed scenes of the
County’s fields, skies, and shorelines, as well as delicate studies of
native butterflies. Whether painting people or the natural world, his
work invites quiet reflection and connection through storytelling
and observation.
