Stacey creates abstracted watercolour landscapes and flora art that capture the energy, spirit, and aliveness of nature. Using transparent and granulating paints, she conveys the natural essence of the scenes she paints.

Stacey, an artist, biologist, and educator, has spent over 50 years as a seasonal resident on Wolfe Island. At a young age, the island helped shaped her love of nature and how she enjoys her summers, in fields of hay and wildflowers at the foot of the island with it’s beautiful rocky shoreline overlooking the St. Lawrence River. Her art reflects her deep connection to these landscapes, using abstracted watercolours to express her emotions and the essence of the land. She incorporates techniques like patterns, lines, and eco printing, often borrowing from other mediums to enhance her watercolors. A member of several local art associations, her award-winning work has been featured in juried exhibitions, and she regularly sells her art at local juried shows.
