Florence is an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artist and a graduate of the Ontario College of Art. She creates spirited ceramic animal sculptures and nature inspired acrylic paintings in her studio in Prince Edward County. She worked as a graphic designer in an earlier career.

Her ceramic sculptures celebrate the beauty, dignity and humour that exists in
all animals. Her process of creating is very organic and the element of chance is
allowed to influence the posture and the attitude of the finished sculpture. All her sculptures are handcrafted, one-of-a-kind originals.

She explores and interprets the natural elements in her lyrical and expressive acrylic paintings. Through the use of colour, texture and movement, she strives to capture what her heart feels rather than what her eyes see. The images are often calm, ethereal and contemplative.

Florence have been selected to participate in many prestigious juried art shows
with her sculptures and her paintings. These included the Canadian Society of
Artists International Open Juried Exhibition, the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition,
McMichael Fall Art Sale, Art in the County, Ontario Clay and Glass Fireworks
show, Seascape International Art Contest and the One of a Kind show.
