Florence Chik-Lau

Florence Chik-Lau is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art. She worked as a graphic designer in Toronto before embarking on a award winning career as a ceramic animal sculptor in Prince Edward County. Florence’s ceramic sculptures celebrate the special affinity between human and animal as well as the beauty, dignity and humour that exists in all creatures. Beneath her subjects’ gentle and beguiling animal exteriors, something deeper is hopefully captured in their gesture and expression.

Florence also creates lyrical and expressive acrylic paintings inspired by nature. Through the use of colour, movement and texture, she captures what she thinks about nature rather than what she has seen. She is particularly drawn to water as a subject because it is fluid, powerful and infinite. She strives to evoke emotional responses and deep reflections through the many moods of water captured in her paintings.

Should your purchase not meet your expectations, please contact the artist within 14 days of receiving your purchase to resolve any issues. You may return your purchase within the 14 day time period. If the work is received in the same condition as it was shipped, a refund for the work will be issued, minus the cost of shipping and any duties that may have been incurred.

Returns and Refunds
If, for any reason, you are unhappy with your purchase please contact the artist within 7 business days after receiving the item. The artist will refund the purchase price (minus shipping) once the item has been sent back in its original condition. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
